Joe Loria (Instructor at MBC for 9 years):
Currently Joe is the varsity pitching coach at De La Salle Collegiate in Warren. In 2000 the De La Salle Pilots won their second Division 1 state championship. Many of the players Joe coached have gone on to play college ball such as Alex Avila (Alabama) and Nicolas Buss (University of Southern California).
As a player Joe was a pitcher on the 1981 Class A State Championship team at Bishop Gallagher and also led them to two Detroit Catholic league titles in 80 and 82. In college at Jacksonville State University Joe recorded a team-best 1.89 ERA, going 6-0 with 52 strikeouts and only 10 earned runs in his 1986 season. At JSU Joe pitched on the same staff as current Detroit Tigers closer Todd Jones.
Eddie Lara (Instructor at MBC for 5 years):

· Named to 6 All-Star teams including 2006 in the United League
· Played on 3 championship teams
Eddie is a native of the Dominican Republic who began his professional baseball career in 1992 when he signed with the Oakland Athletics. Eddie recorded his 1,000th career hit while playing for the Bridgeport Bluefish in the Atlantic League. He was named to 6 All-Star teams throughout his career and was also ranked 1st in fielding percentage (.963) among shortstops in 1995. In 2002, Eddie was invited to Spring Training with the Detroit Tigers.
Scott Kuhle (Instructor at MBC for 2 years):
· Two-year started at Macomb Community College: 95 and 96
· Captain at MCC in 96
Scott was a two-year starter at shortstop for the Monarchs and was named captain of the squad in 1996. In his 1995 season Scott led Macomb to a Midwest Regional Championship and a berth in the National Junior College World Series. At Macomb Scott was coached by former Toronto Blue Jays catcher Ernie Witt.
Matthew Cook (first-year instructor at MBC):
· Four year starter for the Albion College baseball team
· Named First Team All-Conference MIAA catcher in 2006
· Named Division 1 First Team All-State as a senior at Grande Ledge High in 2001
· Currently coaching in his first season at De La Salle Collegiate
Matt was a member of the Albion College baseball team from 2002-2006 and was the team captain in 2006. While at Albion Cook achieved much success and was named First Team All Conference MIAA catcher (2006). Cook conducted the catching portion of Albion College Pitching and Catching Clinic in 2006. He also instructed at the Albion College Offensive Skills Clinic in 2005 and 2006. Matt is now in his first year of coaching high school baseball at De La Salle Collegiate.Kristin Gulock (first-year instructor at MBC):
